GeekWala Terms of Service

The rules and guidelines for using GeekWala.

Last updated: January 30, 2026

By using GeekWala, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

GeekWala is operated by GeekWala, a Texas-based sole proprietorship.

1. The Service

GeekWala provides dependency vulnerability scanning, monitoring, and related tooling for developers and teams. Scan results are informational and are not a guarantee of security, compliance, or the absence of vulnerabilities.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time.

  • Vulnerability data comes from third-party sources and may be incomplete or delayed.
  • We do not provide a security SLA, uptime guarantee, or guaranteed response times.

2. Accounts, Tokens, and Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, API tokens, and webhook endpoints. You must promptly notify us of any unauthorized use.

If you use the service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.

3. Your Content and Permissions

You retain ownership of the content you submit (such as dependency manifests, package metadata, and scan results). You grant GeekWala a limited license to process your content solely to provide and improve the service.

You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit content for scanning, including for any connected repositories or integrations.

4. Acceptable Use

  • Do not use the service to scan systems or data you do not own or control.
  • Do not attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, or abuse the service.
  • Do not upload secrets, credentials, or personal data unrelated to scanning.

5. Paid Plans, Trials, and Billing

Paid plans renew automatically until cancelled. Prices may exclude taxes, which you are responsible for. Trials may convert to paid plans unless cancelled before the trial ends. We may change plan features, pricing, or limits with reasonable notice.

All sales are final. We do not offer refunds or credits, except where required by law or at our sole discretion.

If a plan is described as "unlimited," it is still subject to fair use. We may introduce reasonable caps, throttling, or other safeguards to protect service reliability or prevent abuse, and we may adjust or replace "unlimited" offerings with stated limits if needed.

You can cancel at any time from the Billing page. Your subscription will not renew, and access will remain active through the end of your current monthly or annual billing period. We may suspend or terminate access for non-payment or chargebacks.

6. Third-Party Services and Data

GeekWala integrates with third-party services (such as vulnerability data providers, payment processors, email delivery, analytics, and authentication). We are not responsible for third-party availability, accuracy, or outages, including missing data due to third-party API issues.

7. Disclaimers

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. YOU ASSUME ALL RISK FOR YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GEEKWALA WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, REVENUE, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO GEEKWALA IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR USD $100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

9. Indemnification

You will indemnify and hold GeekWala harmless from any claims arising from your use of the service, your content, or your violation of these terms or applicable law.

10. Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you have violated these terms, pose a security risk, or misuse the service.

11. Arbitration and Class Action Waiver

Any dispute arising from these terms or the service will be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules (or its Commercial Arbitration Rules if you use the service for business purposes). Arbitration will be conducted remotely unless the arbitrator requires an in-person hearing. If an in-person hearing is required, it will take place in the county where GeekWala is located in Texas, unless the parties agree otherwise. You and GeekWala waive the right to participate in any class or representative action.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, excluding conflict of laws rules, and by the Federal Arbitration Act for arbitration. For any dispute not subject to arbitration, the exclusive venue is state or federal courts located in Texas.

13. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after the update means you accept the revised terms.

14. Contact

Questions about these terms can be sent to support@geekwala.com.
